The Oats That Didn’t Work

Greetings!

How’s it going today?

There was a bit of an issue this morning- my old standby, oatmeal, didn’t hold me over long enough after breakfast!

I got up early this morning to head to the library and ate this before leaving:

It was an amazing mix of:

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup skim milk & 1/2 cup water

cooked on the stove (comes out way better than cooked in the microwave!)

1 banana, chopped, added at the end

topped with:

organic peanut butter

& the very best fruit butter I have ever eaten: caramel pear butter. I may or may not have eaten half the jar in 2 days…

Breakfast was delicious but for some reason I nearly died of hunger during Civ Pro. Maybe it’s because I ate so early?? (no 3 hundo jokes, please)

Anyway, I rushed home to make lunch. Grilled sharp white cheddar & apples on wheat. So. Good.

Seriously, delicious. Don’t knock it till you try it.

2 slices of wheat, some sharp white cheddar (go for quality-clearly, we do not eat kraft singles), and a few thin slices of apple. Toast on the Foreman until cheese is melted & enjoy!
