I’m so excited to introduce an exciting new aspect of Legal Eats. Every Friday, my little brother and beauty extraordinaire, Ben Pierce, will be posting on the blog. He’s a licensed cosmetologist, in addition to being obsessed with all things beauty/skin care. He’s my go-to guy whenever I have any beauty questions, and I love to hear his advice. We hope you enjoy this new addition!
Spring is right around the corner and that means switching out your dreary nail polish shades for something bright and fresh. No one wants the same old when everything outside is becoming new again. These beautiful polishes are favorites of mine and would be perfect for spring 2013. These colors will also look fab on every skin tone and good for any age. Take a look and choose your perfect shade for spring.
Orly Lola – This bright berry hue is perfect to complement all the bright florals popping up this spring. Its color is bright yet refined and you can wear this without guilt that you will look like a preteen. This particular shade epitomizes spring to me and looks like a fresh flower. Like all Orly colors, they go on and stay on fabulously. This color is an instant pick me up. To get out of those winter blues, put on this fabulous pink by Orly.
Illamasqua Blow– This color from Illamasqua is absolutely lovely and buttery not only in color but in formula. Like all Illamasqua polishes, the formula is ultra-pigmented and literally glides on like a dream. Blow would be good for anyone that wants to have a light airy polish but still wear something that helps ring in the well-deserved sunshine of the spring.
nails inc. Westbourne Grove– This tangerine hue is perfect if you love to stand out. It’s the perfect shade for both spring and summer. I love this shade because it’s so bright, it’s just like an orange. Surprisingly, it comes out of the bottle the exact color that it says it will be. However, you will need several coats to receive the perfect orange hue. Westbourne Grove is also a really good shade for your toes so you can have a super bright treat for both your hands and feet.
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Lacey Lavender– This color reminds me of jellybeans which I think makes it perfect for spring. It’s a chic shade of purple that’s perfect for those not-so-outgoing in the nail polish department, but it’s also ideal for someone who wants a classy approach to spring as opposed to extreme brights. And the name rings true, the wear is everything you could want from a polish.
Essie Mint Candy Apple– For all of you who have been looking for the perfect mint polish, and I feel your pain, you can finally rest. The best part is that this polish looks good on every skin tone and it will brighten any wardrobe this spring. It’s beautiful and subtle enough to match any outfit and it’s sophisticated enough to never want to take off.
